Hadid Group Hosts Successful DPMM Collaborative Mission to Almaty, Kazakhstan

Hadid Group played a central role in facilitating and supporting the recent Collaborative Mission by the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) to Almaty, Kazakhstan. The four-day mission, which culminated in the official launch of the DPMM Satellite Office in Almaty, marks a significant advancement in strengthening Malaysia–Kazakhstan business relations and expanding Malaysian presence in Central Asia.

The mission was organised in close partnership between DPMM and Hadid Group, led on the ground by Hadid Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Sohpian Ariffin, who has established a long and reputable footprint in Kazakhstan. Hadid team coordinated extensively with DPMM Pusat (Centre), represented by Dzahir Jamudin, to ensure a seamless and impactful programme. Several other distinguished members of DPMM also joined the delegation.

Hadid Group expressed its appreciation to DPMM’s President Syahrin Hamidon and the leadership of MED DPMM for their cooperation and trust. The Group also acknowledged the joint efforts of both organisations’ secretariats, whose strategic planning and execution contributed to the success of the mission.

The initiative is aligned with the objectives of Gerakan Ekoniaga Madani (GEMA), a national economic mobilisation effort launched earlier this year and witnessed by the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The highlight of the mission held on 14th November 2025—the inauguration of the DPMM Satellite Office in Almaty, hosted within Hadid Group’s premises. The ceremony was officiated by H.E Ambassador Mohd Adli alongside DPMM Secretary-General Dato’ Mazrol. The establishment of this satellite office represents a strategic step to support Malaysian entrepreneurs and strengthen DPMM’s positioning in Central Asia.
