Sabah Strengthens Economic Links with Kazakhstan Through Strategic Business Mission with Hadid
Hadid Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Sohpian Ariffin, recently led a high-level Sabah business delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan, marking a major milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to connect Malaysian industries with emerging global markets.
The visit held at the invitation of the Almaty Chamber of Entrepreneurs (ATAMEKEN), was organised in collaboration with the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) Sabah Chapter, and focused on exploring strategic partnerships in investment, tourism, education, technology, and medical services.
The visit was nationally featured by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and covered by major news outlets including Utusan Borneo, positioning Hadid Group at the forefront of Malaysian-led regional diplomacy and business engagement in Central Asia.
“Kazakhstan offers untapped potential for Sabah and Malaysia. As a company committed to regional growth, we see this as a springboard to activate trade, knowledge exchange, and long-term collaboration between both regions,” said Sohpian Ariffin.
This strategic direction also aligns with Hadid’s commitment to empowering Sabah-based entrepreneurs, expanding trade opportunities, and supporting Malaysia’s global outreach objectives.
