Shaping Malaysia’s Future TVET Technopreneurs Through SUPEREKA

A major step forward for Malaysia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem was achieved with the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hadid Group, University College TATI (UC TATI) and Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The agreement was formalized on 5 November 2025 during Festival Idea Putrajaya 2025, an innovation-driven national platform that unites academia, industry, and government. The collaboration marks a renewed commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation pathways for TVET students and graduates across the country.

Through the SUPEREKA Project, the three organizations aim to elevate TVET-based entrepreneurship by creating structured pathways that guide students and graduates from classroom learning to real-world industrial application. SUPEREKA is designed to nurture entrepreneurial mindsets, strengthen technical creativity, and empower youth to transform their skills into viable business ventures—particularly in Malaysia’s East Coast region, where Hadid has long contributed to industrial growth and capability building.

The collaboration leverages the unique strengths of each partner: Leave a Nest Malaysia brings international expertise in startup incubation and innovation ecosystem development; UC TATI provides a robust academic foundation through its applied TVET programs; and Hadid Group contributes industrial insights, infrastructure, and market access essential for technology validation and commercialization. Together, these strengths form a sustainable model that bridges the gap between technical training and industry needs, ensuring TVET graduates are equipped to meet real market challenges.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Group CEO, Sohpian Ariffin shared that Hadid Group is committed to supporting Malaysia’s next generation of innovators. He emphasized that SUPEREKA will play a vital role in preparing the future workforce for industrial transformation by aligning technical skills with entrepreneurial readiness.
